Database Reader

Description​

The Database Reader is used to read data from a hierarchy of database tables.

Purpose of object​

The Database Reader provides the read in data as messages. These messages reflect the structure of the read in data.

Creation​

To create a Database Reader channel follow the steps described in the general description of Adapters.

Configuration​

The following explains properties in database reader dialog.

Database: Choose an appropriate environment entry.

Message type: Choose an appropriate message type.

Properties: To define the interface parameters of the channel. Variables that are delivered from or to the channel.

Additional (where ...): SQL statement can be inserted here.

Foreign-key definition: For subordinate data can be inserted here.
